Who We Are
Members and Staff
Since 1999, Metropolitan Energy Policy Coalition - MEPC
(formerly the
Metropolitan Counties Energy Task Force or
MCETF) has allowed member counties and members from
the Metropolitan Council
to address issues
related to energy policy and industry restructuring by identifying
key interests and issues to County government.
The
Task Force engages in matters of strategic interest to meet the
needs of Minnesota Counties to secure safe, reliable, economical,
and environmentally responsible energy sources. MEPC works to
ensure that restructuring, access, needs and governance in the
energy industry are consistent with maintaining safe, affordable and
reliable energy, developing renewable energy sources, improving the
efficiency with which we utilize energy resources, and contributing
to help Minnesota become energy independent. |
